Job Description
This Support Accountant is part of the larger Finance and Infrastructure Department. The role is to assist the CFO and support finance staff and stakeholders to manage the department's financial responsibilities, assist with grant applications, compliance requirements, and financial reporting. You will also lead with the preparation of annual budgets along with quarterly budget analysis. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively engage with people about financial concepts. Extensive experience with financial functions, budgeting & forecasting, accrual accounting processes, as well as experience in audit preparation and financial reporting is required. The patience and ability to simplify and explain financial concepts is also essential in the role and vital for the service to be provided to our Departments. We are looking for candidates who are available to start in January for a 9 month contract. The contract does have the potential to be extended.
