Contract Manager / Senior Contracts Specialist Hays Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Leading Defence Prime requires a Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Specialist to join their growing team on a 6-month contracting basis. Ideally based in SA / NSW but open to remote options for the right candidate. Highly attractive daily rates are available. 6 Month Contract Remote Option Available Attractive Daily Rate We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of contract administration, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and supporting the company's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for effective program performance through the management of commercial issues associated with the assigned program, including contract management, contract negotiations, supplier management, and customer engagement. You will be a subject-matter expert and program lead on commercial issues, requiring the consistent exercise of business acumen, program knowledge, and independent judgment to influence outcomes and achieve desired business objectives. Drafts and reviews commercial correspondence in consultation with stakeholders. Identifies commercial risks, develops and implements solutions. Initiates and manages supplier assessment and due diligence activities, as required. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates complex commercial agreements, including contract variations, confidentiality agreements, teaming agreements, and contracts. Works with key stakeholders to ensure that all requirements and risks are addressed, and appropriate approvals obtained to release documents. Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. What You Need: Previous experience in Defence contract management role ITAR knowledge NV1 clearance / Baseline Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Understanding of contract law and regulatory requirements as well as strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Requires substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business to provide enhancements within the Function / Product Line Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations and development of customer and supplier relationships.
