The Role We have a Control Room Operator position available along with two Rover positions open in South Wharf working across 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster. This role will see you supporting one of our clients by providing an exceptional understanding of the systems and procedures of the site. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, access control systems, and other security equipment to detect and respond promptly to any suspicious activity or safety concerns. Emergency management. Ability to act in the role of the Chief Warden when required to do so. Exercise excellent judgment in handling security incidents, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate measures to restore and enhance security. Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, documenting findings, and recommending measures to prevent future occurrences. Provide guidance and support to employees and visitors on security-related matters, promoting a culture of awareness and proactive engagement. Primary first aid and emergency response onsite. The Successful Candidate Current VIC Security Licence (Control Room endorsed). Demonstrated knowledge of security systems (Honeywell system knowledge ideal). Demonstrated knowledge of using a Fire Indicator Panel and EWIS Panel. Excellent observation skills and attention to detail. Proficient understanding of the English language, both verbal and written. Able to work a rotating roster which includes days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
