About the role As Coordinator of the Broome Family Domestic Violence Refuge, reporting to the Manager Tenancy and Accommodation, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination of daily service operations, ensuring optimal service quality is upheld for clients and employees. You will provide influential, authentic leadership to a team of Residential Support Workers responsible for the provision of practical guidance, emotional support, and the creation of a safe and secure environment for our clients. With oversight of service and risk management, this role is also critical in managing regulatory compliance to a high standard, whilst ensuring employees support individuals effectively to navigate barriers and complex systems, enabling their overall wellbeing and ability to work toward personal goals. This role is on offer on a part-time basis, of 60.8 hours per fortnight, between Monday and Friday, based on your preference. About you You’ll have a comprehensive background in leading teams and providing a high level of support to women and children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds. A high degree of resilience, leadership, and experience in trauma-informed practice will ensure your team follows your lead, with a calm, steady, and empathetic approach in an often emotive environment. You’ll also have: Relevant tertiary level qualification (preferred). Detailed knowledge of Family Domestic Violence and working in Crisis Accommodation facilities. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and professional manner. Understanding of risk and regulatory compliance. Strong assessment, analysis, planning, and intervention skills and experience. Work with Children Check (WWCC). National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months).
