This roster is 8/6/7/7 and a 12-hour day. About the role Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical Fixed Plant, the purpose of this position is to provide support to the Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent / PtCEW and Electrical Coordinators to ensure Electrical Compliance with Australian Standards, QLD Electrical Safety Act & Regulations & QLD Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act. Key responsibilities include: Conducting audits of plant and equipment to ensure safety and defect-free operation. Performing asset compliance audits, including reviewing design documentation, fault studies, maintenance strategies, and statutory testing results. Developing defect and non-conformity reports, generating work orders, and recommending procurement to address issues. Reviewing, updating, and ensuring maintenance tasks/SWI compliance with legislation, standards, and safety feedback from execution teams. Updating CMMS (Pronto) by adding/removing assets, linking documentation, and ensuring maintenance strategies align with requirements. Performing additional duties such as training personnel, maintaining the EEHA Hazardous Area dossier, and updating/redlining drawings. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating work efficiently, aligning with work plans and collaborating with other parties. Supervising shutdowns to ensure safe, high-quality completion of assigned tasks in compliance with policies and statutory requirements. Performing other electrical maintenance activities, including potential night shifts, as directed. About You With previous industry experience, including leadership or supervisory roles, the candidate will also hold an electrical trade certificate, manual driver’s license, high voltage switching certificate, and ideally EEHA qualifications or an advanced diploma/associate degree. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with an electrical trade qualification and CMMS experience, such as Pronto. You should have excellent communication skills, and be a team player capable of developing internal and external relationships. A solid understanding of computing skills, Australian Standards, the QLD Electrical Safety Act and Regulations, and the QLD Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act is essential.
