The Role In this varied leadership role, you will lead a team of five employees to provide high level governance and risk advice and support to assist Council, the Mayor, Councillors and City officers to adhere to the Local Government Act, statutory processes, requisite standards and good governance principles. You will provide expert advice on governance and risk management and ensure the delivery of a range of functions including corporate governance, risk management, prevention of fraud and corruption, insurance and claims management, audit, business continuity and secretariat support to the City’s Audit and Risk Committee. About You To be successful in this position, you will have leadership experience and knowledge in risk and/or governance in a large or complex organisation, experience working in a legislated environment with the ability to understand, review and ensure compliance with legislation and policy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a range of stakeholders, strong time management skills and enjoy working in a team environment. If you hold formal qualifications in governance, risk or similar, we welcome your application. A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
