We have an exciting opportunity to join our Mentoring program as a Youth Engagement and Wellbeing Practitioner. The ideal candidate will be strongly committed to supporting the design, development, and delivery of therapeutic and culturally safe programs for children and young people. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and have the skills and experience to support their growth and development, we would love to hear from you!What can you expect to be doing? Develop and facilitate group programs that empower young people to find their dreams and achieve their goals. Coach and strengthen the capacity of Mentors and staff to work alongside young people using a trauma-informed approach. Lead and monitor the goals and outcomes of our Mentoring program. Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of Mentors. Provide intensive support through individual and group programming. Manage budgets related to the Mentoring program and ensure efficient use of resources. Monitor and manage risks within program delivery, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for young people. What do you need to bring? Proven experience engaging with young people with complex needs and from diverse backgrounds. Experience of program design, development and coordination for young people. Experience in establishing trusted relationships with First Nations communities and First Nations young people. Experience with organising, promoting and conducting community events, functions and meetings. Experience managing staff and leading teams. Strong skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to generate referrals and create connections with key partners. Qualifications / Special Conditions Social Work Degree and relevant experience. NPC, WWCC. Safe Environments for Children and Young People. Who is AnglicareSA?
