Award/Classification: Tasmanian State Service Award - General Stream Band 4 $83,011.00 to $95,547.00 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Permanent, full-time Region: South Location: Hobart To coordinate the ongoing management of the VOCA database and provide support to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Commissioners and Victims Support Services in relation to the Victims of Crime compensation applications. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. Duties Provide high-level system administrator coordination of the Victims of Crime Assistance database management system (VoCA) to staff and maintain quality of data and management controls. Duties include being the initial point of contact for problems with technology equipment or systems, troubleshoot issues and forward on when necessary, and develop training for staff and train new staff members. Process Victims of Crime Assistance application and payment process, and finalisation of applications for hearing or decision on papers that includes overseeing, registering and compiling information on files that is sensitive and highly confidential. Undertake award preparation and payment information as a result of decisions. Undertake high-level administrative and clerical functions associated with the day-to-day operations of the Victims Assistance Unit. Work in conjunction with the Assessment Officer and act in that role as required. Coordinate and obtain relevant medical reports and police files related to victims of crime assistance applications. Liaise and provide information to victims of crime, victims of crime services, staff from within the Department of Justice and concerned members of the public.
