The Opportunity We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic candidate looking for advancement opportunities to join our impressive and highly regarded Sydney Corporate practice working with Partner Maria Townsend and her team. As part of a close-knit team you will work on an interesting and broad mix of private M&A specialising in the Automotive Industry, General Commercial and Corporate advisory. This is an amazing opportunity to take your career to the next level and beyond, by working on high-value matters with an industry-leading team and prominent client base which includes large privately held corporate groups and public companies. The successful candidate will be engaged in: Direct client access and close collaboration with Partners Supervision and mentoring of junior solicitors Private M&A including drafting and negotiation of Business Sale Agreements, Share Sale Agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Loan and Security agreements and other transactional documents. Advisory work including corporate governance and director duties advice as well as general commercial contract reviews and reviews and advice on automotive franchise and agency agreements. To Succeed in This Role, Ideally You’ll Have: 5+ Years PQE Experience in general commercial and M&A work with good drafting skills and attention to detail Property transaction and commercial lease experience would be well regarded but not essential Ability to balance legal and commercial considerations in negotiations and drafting Good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with clients and other parties Desire to develop leadership skills to assist in developing our junior cohort What We Offer Unrivalled Career Pathways: Our unique meritocracy model proudly offers our staff career development, promoting talent based solely on merit.
