What you’d be doing in this role As a Corporate Paralegal at Canva, you will provide comprehensive legal support and guidance across various aspects of our business: Support Canva’s global expansion efforts by leading the incorporation, maintenance, and dissolution of corporate entities and associated legal workstreams. Assist in corporate governance and compliance processes, including record-keeping, preparation of board meeting materials, and other related documents. Support tax, finance, accounting, and treasury teams on corporate legal matters including KYC, audit, and insurance requests. Assist the corporate legal team with securities law compliance and filings. Work with equity ops to manage Canva’s equity plans and capitalization records. Drive improvements by partnering with cross-functional teams on various corporate legal matters. Assist the corporate legal team on acquisitions, financings, secondaries, and tender offers. You're probably a match if You have 6+ years of experience in a Paralegal role, preferably within a fast-growing SaaS/technology company; public company experience preferred. You are highly collaborative with a positive attitude and the desire to build, lead, and make an impact. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You possess superior organizational skills and extraordinary attention to detail. You are a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage numerous projects simultaneously. You have excellent technology skills with proficiency in G Suite, Slack, Microsoft Word, Jira, and Excel.
