Youth Justice Townsville South Youth Justice Service Centre; Youth Justice; Region - North Queensland -Youth Justice; Townsville The role of the Court Coordinator is to represent the Director-General in Youth Justice Court matters, provide advice and act as a consultant to other Departmental staff in order to promote a high standard of Departmental services to Courts and clients. Job details Position status: Fixed Term Temporary Position type: Full-time Occupational group: Community Care Classification: PO3 Workplace Location: Townsville Job ad reference: QLD/615479/25 Closing date: 04-Feb-2025 Yearly salary: $99348 - $108192 Fortnightly salary: $3808.00 - $4147.00 Job duration: Through to 30/06/2025 with possible extension Mandatory qualifications /role requirements • Possession of a tertiary degree relevant to the role such as social work, behavioural science or social science, criminology, legal studies or other recognised degree.• One of the referees should be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, where possible.• Unrestricted “c” class drivers licence is required.• Valid Blue Card is required for supporting services to children and young people.• Travel within the region for site visits may be required. Responsibilities As Court Coordinator, you will specifically: Undertake comprehensive pre-Court preparation in accordance with procedures and Court quality benchmarks. Conduct assessments of risk factors and make appropriate referrals. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality court services. Provide post-court advice and complete post-Court documentation. Maintain office systems and contribute to the development of new systems. Provide consultancy for Departmental staff in Youth Justice Court-related matters. Undertake professional casework and restorative justice tasks. Participate in continuing professional development activities. Demonstrate cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
