Job Description: • Excellent benefits including salary packaging• Challenging and rewarding work environment• Part-time or Full-time fixed term until 3 August 2025About the Role The Consultant Psychiatrist is accountable for the delivery of high quality clinical services to the consumers of SVMH, contingent on place of cover clinical deployment within the continuum of care at SVMH, and provides clinical leadership in partnership with the Team Manager(s), and under the direction of the Director Acute Psychiatry, Director Community Psychiatry, Director Clinical Services, and the relevant Group Operations Manager. The Consultant Psychiatrist will contribute to service evaluation and research and will display a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in psychiatry. The area of clinical deployment and cover within the continuum of care at SVMH will be recommended in discussion with the relevant Director and Group Operations Manager, and determined by the Director of Clinical Services and General Manager Mental Health. Classifications for this position will range from classification range HN19 – HN59 ($165.56 - $215.80 per hour). Classification dependent on years of experience. Your Contribution Excellent qualities as a clinician and good communication skills with consumers and colleagues Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership in a multi-disciplinary psychiatric service Supervision of Psychiatry Registrars and junior medical staff Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent Registration with AHPRA Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain What we offer Salary Packaging – Increase your take home pay!
