Job Description

Position Title: Communication Advisor/Graphic Designer Overview: This dynamic role blends strategic communications, change management, and graphic design to support organisational transformation and engagement initiatives. The Communication Advisor will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging, creating high-quality visual and written content, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer within the organisation. The ideal candidate will combine excellent communication skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite to produce creative materials that resonate with diverse stakeholder groups. Key Responsibilities: Communication Strategy Development: Design and execute communication plans aligned with program and project objectives, ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels and stakeholder groups. Graphic Design and Content Creation: Create visually engaging communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, and training documents, using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro. Design and develop e-learning modules and other training materials with a focus on visual impact and clarity. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and maintain engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Change Management Support: Collaborate with change and adoption teams to develop strategies that drive successful change initiatives, addressing communication risks and opportunities for improvement. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain and update internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, SharePoint) with the latest project and program information to keep stakeholders informed. Event Coordination: Lead and contribute to planning and coordinating key communication events such as surveys, forums, presentations, and workshops, ensuring successful execution and engagement. Reporting and Feedback: Monitor communication effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure high-impact and engaging communications. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven Communication Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in a communication role, ideally within an ICT or large-scale project environment. Strong Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) to create high-quality visual content for diverse audiences. Exceptional Writing Skills: Expertise in writing clear, engaging, and creative content for various communication channels, including internal communications, presentations, and training materials. Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams, ensuring communication efforts are aligned with organisational goals. Event Management Experience: Experience in organising and managing events, such as surveys, forums, and team presentations, ensuring successful outcomes. Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in marketing, communications, or a similar discipline. Proficiency with video and animation software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Vyond). Experience with survey and event management tools (e.g., Survey Monkey, Eventbrite, MS Teams Events). Familiarity with managing content on SharePoint and delivering presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
