Collaborating with executive stakeholders, helping them to understand technology concerns by working at the forefront of all tech decisions. Mentoring and supporting the career development of engineers.The role will be responsible for redefining our future Netbank strategy and building our next-generation platform in support of this goal. Working closely with delivery leadership to ensure that team members are assigned appropriately, and the skills mix meets current and predicted needs. Managing all aspects of the project life cycle including scope, initiation, planning, execution, closure, expenditure, benefits realisation, and evaluation.Co-defining with Group Engineering Practice Leads and implementing strategies with respect to hiring, developing, and retaining world-class engineering talent.Running quarterly Chapter big room planning and organizing a strategic chapter backlog for multiple chapters in this space. Ensuring the India workforce chapters align with the same strategic chapter roadmap. We’re interested in hearing from people who: Have a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams, as well as a strong technical foundation, particularly around micro-front end, BFFs, digital transformations, and web engineering. Can establish new ways of working, successfully advocate for new technology approaches, with the experience to understand the architectural integration of new software solutions. Are experienced in driving constant improvement for the engineering practice. Have the ability to mentor engineers with varying levels of experience, including developing their general technical & decision-making capabilities. Can drive cultural and process changes supporting modern delivery practices, showing a high level of emotional intelligence when leading teams and influencing business leaders. Influence the future of the company’s technology estate every day. Constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders at various levels. Are capable of articulating a modernization pathway for legacy solutions to more modern ones. Tech skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all, but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team: Solid engineering background with expertise in React, Next.js. Scripting/programming languages (i.e., JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python). Expertise in SDLC and navigating large-scale matrix agile organizations, with broader experience around Architecture, System Implementation/Integration, and Technology Transformations. Modern CI/CD strategies and tooling. Cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure). Good to have – SRE Understanding – SLO/SLA’s, Observability.
