Role Overview Aveo is a leading provider of retirement living solutions, with 30 years of experience in delivering high-quality services to seniors. As our new Chef Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the culinary experience for our residents. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate chef to lead our kitchen and restaurant team at Albany Creek Retirement Village. You will be responsible for providing exquisite lunch and dinner services, catering options, and ideas for functions while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Oversee daily lunch and dinner services, providing guidance to your team and creating fresh ideas to boost revenue Work closely with your food and beverage team to deliver great service and ensure restaurant nights run smoothly Monitor food safety checklists, compliance checklists, and adhere to all OH&S policies Complete stock management of all goods, including ordering, rotation, and amendments Complete staff rostering, manage development and hiring, and ensure your team delivers outstanding service to residents Requirements Experience in a casual dining kitchen setting (e.g., retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required) Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable) Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering, hiring, and admin experience) Current Police Check clearance and minimum two COVID-19 vaccinations (required) What We Offer Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Two additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar year Annual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive scheme Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression About Us Aveo is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to building an inclusive workplace where all our people feel comfortable being their authentic selves.
