Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales/Customer Service Operative to join our team in a fast-paced counter sales role. This is an ongoing position with the potential for a permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will work directly with customers in-store, assisting them in finding products, making sales, and providing exceptional service. Location: PortsmithJob Type: Ongoing (Temporary to Permanent Opportunity is a possibility)Hourly Rate: $35.35 per hourShift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts Assist customers in finding products and making sales at the shopfront. Handle high-volume calls and manage admin tasks on the computer. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer. Process orders and transactions accurately. Utilize SAP software for product orders and customer management. Key Requirements: Must hold a valid driver's license. Strong customer service skills, with an easygoing and approachable demeanor. Computer literate and comfortable using software, especially SAP (experience is highly desirable). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with high-volume calls and tasks. Sales experience is essential, with prior experience in industrial product sales a bonus. Knowledge of welding or gas products is ideal, but not mandatory. Desirable Skills: Experience in sales or customer service, especially in an industrial or technical setting.
