The Opportunity As a Customer Service Officer, you will deliver welcoming and professional customer service through all customer interactions in person, on the phone and online. You will also be responsible for: Asking direct and appropriate questions to assist customers Provision of accurate information in a timely manner Recording information in Council database software Maintaining a professional image and compliance with uniform policy Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service industry Experience in a call centre or high-volume phone operations A passion to deliver the best service with a focus on delivering high resolution at the first point Using initiative and problem-solving techniques for the best customer and business outcomes Excellent numeracy, cash handling, balancing and end of day banking experience Well-developed knowledge of the East Gippsland Shire, region and/or services Excellent keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft software; Internet; and database products If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and hold a current and valid employee Working with Children Check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
