Cyber Engineer Consultant – Canberra We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Consulting Engineer to join our client in their Canberra team. This role is ideal for a professional with 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or the technology industry, particularly in areas such as endpoint security, network engineering, and integration. Candidates must hold Australian Citizenship with NV1/NV2 clearance. Our client is a trusted cybersecurity provider dedicated to safeguarding Australian organizations against evolving threats while enabling sustainable business growth. With a local team of 200+ cybersecurity experts, they partner with clients across diverse industries to address risks in areas such as privacy, ESG, supply chain, and traditional cybersecurity challenges. Key Responsibilities: Engagement Management: Collaborate on project planning, workshops, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery. Support engagement teams and provide timely feedback to Engagement Leads. Oversee day-to-day delivery of assigned engagements and proactively identify and escalate risks. Sales and Marketing Support: Identify pre-sales opportunities with new and existing clients to drive business growth. Assist the sales team by engaging with clients, showcasing technical expertise, and building long-term relationships. Contribute to proposal development, pricing strategies, and peer reviews of team deliverables. What We’re Looking For: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or technology, with expertise in network and endpoint security, integration, and engineering. Proficiency in endpoint security tools such as Carbon Black (highly desirable), Defender, Airlock, Crowdstrike, or SentinelOne. Strong technical foundation in security controls and technology, combined with business acumen to navigate diverse enterprise environments. A genuine passion for cybersecurity and a demonstrated commitment to contributing to the security community.
