Sitting elevated on the corner of Alma and Old Gympie Road, the $35m Dakabin Hotel is taking shape and expected to open in April. The Dakabin Hotel will be an exceptional space to catch up with friends all year round! In an exclusive first, the Comiskey Group are excited to share that the hotel will feature a menu with modern Australian dishes as well as an Asian influence with integrated kitchens. It will have indoor and outdoor dining, a sports bar with TAB and an Island Bar fully wrapped in LED, a state of the art gaming room with 35 machines, a gift shop, indoor and outdoor kids playground and there will be plenty of entertainment with a designated stage, electronic dartboards and pool tables. ABOUT YOU: An incredible opportunity awaits an exceptional General Manager to lead and work in all aspects of our diverse range of services. The General Manager’s role is to manage all aspects of the business from people, product, training, guest experience and finance. The General Manager will have a strong Food and Beverage focus and lead our front and back-of-house staff during key service periods, and ensure we continue to always deliver industry best practices and service. The role requires availability both day and night and weekend work. It is not for the faint-hearted but will be a career-defining opportunity for the right applicant. WHAT TO BRING: Previous experience in the same or similar role A track record of operational and business success Supporting your team in delivering world-class service to guests Experience in high volume bar, restaurant and gaming trade Developing the teams through coaching, feedback, and consistent training.
