We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive data sets to support investigations. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, data management, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Hybrid working conditions Key incremental role Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Assist, participate & investigate data related inquiries. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. Create and present detailed reports and visualisations to communicate findings effectively. Actively seek process improvement opportunities. Collaborate with a team consisting of experienced developers, business analysts and SMEs to produce detailed, accurate and timely reports. Ensure reports match the specifications of business specifications. Operational Management Ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate reporting. Work directly with peers to ensure all data enquiries are managed in line with service level agreements. Develop tools and techniques such as AI solutions and genetic algorithms to assist the business with investigations and insights. Participate in problem solving and collaboration and maintain healthy group dynamics. Work closely with the resources within the technology areas to deliver cost-effective solutions that meet client needs. Assemble dashboards and data visualisations to provide insights and emerging trends. Governance & Risk Role model in managing risk and compliance focused culture across the team. 100% compliance with own learning requirements. Experience working in large and complex environments, with a practiced understanding and application of contemporary reporting and analytics tools and techniques. Demonstrated experience in analytical roles, including data analysis, interpretation, and deployment. Proven business and technical analytical skills, preferably in a superannuation or related environment. Ensure adherence and compliance with all legislative, financial, policy, procedural and quality requirements including OH&S issues. Maintain all work meeting GS007 standards including completion of assigned quality assurance testing and follow-ups. Experience & Personal Attributes At least 2 years of experience developing SQL scripts in Oracle or SQL Server (Azure). Strong experience in MS Excel including VBA for automation and application development. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel). At least 2 years experience in developing applications using C++, Java or Python. Experience in Data Visualisation and Statistical Analysis. Experience in Power BI. Ability to articulate issues surrounding business, operational and technical risk management. Proven ability in taking strong ownership of deliverables and work with a team of analysts to deliver reports that highlight issues/errors in application of business rules. Developed organisation and planning skills with the ability to deal with demanding workloads, prioritise and meet strict deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills. Commercial, risk aware and outcomes focused. Ability to build relationships between teams, departments, units internally and externally to support the achievement of the team and business goals. Highly developed organisational skills and take ownership of deliverables to produce detailed, accurate and timely reports. Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive identification of potential issues. Coach and upskill team members in knowledge share and brown bag sessions.
