Data Analytics Intern (Hybrid) Apply locations: Support Center - Akron, OH Time type: Full time Posted on: 4 Days Ago Time left to apply: End Date: February 7, 2025 (6 days left to apply) Job requisition id: REQ_71970 This role will be responsible for the execution and maintenance of existing and new data analytic workflows to support a holistic audit approach to evaluate Signet’s internal control environment. The Internal Audit Data Analytics Intern exhibits an entrepreneurial mindset with attention to detail, drive to accomplish goals and focus on quality results. This individual has strong communication skills and the ability to multitask working with the internal audit and retail audit teams. Responsibilities: Participate in data analytics related to audits (operational, financial, compliance, integrated), special projects and ad-hoc requests of Signet Management. Assist in the execution of analytics to obtain insights and identify data patterns which are not in compliance with Signet policies and procedures. Act as an analytic resource for the internal audit team. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job. Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology or related discipline. GPA of 3.0 or above. Prior Data Analytics or business experience preferred but not required. Prior coursework in IT, auditing, analytics or business technology preferred. Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze data and draw conclusions based on sound judgement; Ability to apply creative and innovative thinking; Ability to work independently. Work Environment: Summer Internship 2024 (40 hours/week for 12 weeks). Ability to work in Akron, OH as position is a hybrid work environment. The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
