Opportunity snapshot: An exciting, Permanent opportunity has become b for a Healthcare Intelligence Analyst. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting to the BI Operations Governance and Quality Manager, the Data Governance (DG) Lead will improve Bupa’s data maturity across health insurance data team’s. The immediate expectation will require the individual to ensure that appropriate risks, controls and governance are applied to all data assets within the department. Once established, the DG Lead will work with senior stakeholders and use their influence to implement best practices into all data teams in the health insurance business unit. The role requires a collaborative, value driven individual that deeply understands the complex technical environments and toolsets required to achieve outcomes with data. As an Information Asset Steward you will navigate working in complex, ambiguous, and challenging situations while acting as the liaison across GMs and Heads Of to ensure that we have strong governance across HI. What will I be doing? Be accountable for Data Governance deliverables across HI Data Teams Influence and implement data governance best practices across HI Data Teams, ensuring stakeholders have a consistent experience with data and reporting Develop and implement Governance KPI’s with the aim to improve data quality, accuracy, and literacy throughout the Health Insurance Business Unit. Accountable for conducting data quality assessments for the data assets which you are responsible. Audit the HI Data Team’s Risk and Governance Controls, and provide recommendations to uplift data processes and mature Bupa’s data practices As an Information Asset Steward you are responsible for the creation and maintenance of Data Quality Management Plans Manage information assets, ensuring they are accurately stored and maintained within Bupa’s systems Requirements for the role: 5 + years of experience in working on complex information projects and programs of work. Proven experience in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders utilising your influencing skills to implement risk and governance controls into multiple teams 3 + years technical experience in data governance Expertise in technical stack (SQL, SAS, Power BI, ADB) Experience conducting training sessions and Governance Workshops Experience in agile delivery projects / programs, and use of ADO boards Experience working with data / information systems and tools Experience working in a variety of information management roles Knowledge of Azure data platform and Databricks technologies (highly favoured) Architectural or design experience (highly favoured) Strategy experience (highly favoured) About us: Bupa has a strategic goal of being the most customer-centric digital healthcare organisation, with the use of data as an explicit pillar of this strategy.
