We’re looking for a Data Platform Lead to uplift our data capabilities, driving innovation within Microsoft Azure/Fabric ecosystem and empowering the next generation of data-driven solutions. In this role, you'll lead a team of data engineers to evolve and enhance our data platform, migrating from on-prem to a modern architecture, ensuring efficiency, and aligning with best practices. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to integrate diverse data sources to enable insights and advanced analytics. Working closely alongside key digital transformation projects, you’ll integrate core systems and contribute to the implementation of a C360 Customer Data Platform, providing a unified view of the customer. Your leadership will not only focus on technical innovation but also mentor and guide teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the business. This full-time, permanent position offers a hybrid work model in our centrally located Melbourne HQ. Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: Proven experience in technical leadership, including setting standards, strategy, and processes while remaining hands-on. Extensive experience (5+ years) in data engineering, data management, data modelling, data architecture, and data warehousing. Strong expertise in Microsoft Data/BI technologies, including MS SQL Server BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) and Azure Data tools (ADF, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Fabric, Power BI). Proficiency in data modelling (Kimball, dimensional, and relational modelling) and data warehouse design (data lake, lakehouse, medallion architecture), as well as Power BI semantic modelling. Experience with Agile development, source control (Git, Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines. Salesforce, customer and travel industry data experience is a bonus. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics) advantageous.
