Your Role This role is critical in establishing and enforcing data governance standards, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, and supporting our organization's data-driven decision-making capabilities. The role will also need to collaborate with internal and external teams, including delivery partners, to ensure that they are designing and implementing data solutions and products aligned to data governance and data quality standards and expectations. This will involve some general quality assurance oversight, test strategy review, and test data management. Develop and implement data validation and testing processes to ensure data quality across the Snowflake data warehouse. Collaborate with data engineers to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using dbt. Define, monitor, and report on data quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Work with the Data Governance function to develop data quality standards and practices. Enforce Data Governance standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, standards, and guidelines. Develop automated scripts and workflows to streamline data quality checks and reduce manual efforts. Identify and resolve data quality issues, working closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data quality processes. Your Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in data governance or data-related quality assurance or testing roles. 2+ years of experience in data engineering or data quality engineering roles. Strong SQL skills. Demonstrated Python proficiency. Expertise in data pipeline and orchestration tools, with demonstrated proficiency in Apache Airflow and DBT. Strong experience with Snowflake, with exposure to Oracle and Postgres. Demonstrated proficiency with Snowflake. Basic experience with AWS services. Experience working on complex data projects with exposure to defining test strategy and testing standards. A strong ethos of collaboration, mentorship, skill development, and refinement of craft. Excellent documentation skills. Innovative tendencies and the ability to communicate the value of your ideas. Experience working in a complex agile environment.
