Job Description of Database Admin/Build Engineer in Sydney: 8 - 9 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, EDB Postgres, MySQL, Microsoft SQL. Responsibilities: Design & build Oracle Databases. Work with Oracle standalone, Oracle RAC, and Oracle ADG. Golden Gate knowledge is an added advantage. Design & build MySQL / PostgreSQL Databases including Standalone and Master-Slave configuration / DR setup. Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases including Standalone, AlwaysOn, and Replication or Logshipping. Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre. Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration. Perform Patch & release management. Conduct performance trend analysis and manage server/network capacity. React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools, escalating to management where appropriate. Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system.
