Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Delivery Lead to join our Melbourne-based team. This role is a maternity leave cover for a period of 6–7 months and will facilitate Agile processes and ceremonies, manage sprint planning and delivery cycles, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. A background in the data and analytics space, coupled with consulting experience, would be highly advantageous for this role. This opportunity lies within the retail industry, providing the chance to work on impactful projects in a dynamic sector. Key Responsibilities: Agile Ceremonies and Sprint Management: Facilitate and conduct Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases. Run fortnightly sprints, ensuring sprint goals align with delivery dates and the current Program Increment (PI). Manage sprint and deliverables backlogs, ensuring all items are tracked and prioritized effectively. Start and close sprints on schedule, providing progress updates to relevant stakeholders. Deployment and Release Management: Prepare for deployments, including creating change requests, managing JSD for SRE, and ensuring necessary approvals. Oversee the post-deployment release process, including pre-release notes, post-release notes, and managing the release process in JIRA. Conduct deployment GO/NO GO sessions and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stream leaders, component leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to align component work with delivery goals. Participate in working groups and Scrum of Scrums to provide weekly updates on project progress and delivery status. Facilitate PI planning sessions every three months, ensuring all participants are prepared and aware of upcoming deliverables. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify, address, and eliminate risks or dependencies that may impact sprint and delivery timelines. Escalate risks and dependencies to PMs and stakeholders when necessary. Ensure all deliverables and tickets are compliant and meet mandatory field requirements. Resource Management and Budget Forecasting: Forecast and monitor resource capacity to ensure alignment with deliverables. Plan releases for upcoming PIs in collaboration with PMs, stream leads, and component leads. Track and resolve timesheet discrepancies, send monthly timesheets to the team, and ensure alignment with budget forecasts. Provide forecasts for the upcoming fiscal year budget and timesheets for all team members. Conduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs), technical sessions, and pre-PI meetings to identify opportunities for improvement. Drive team alignment and foster a culture of continuous learning and delivery excellence. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong knowledge of Agile principles, tools, and practices, including JIRA and Confluence. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Ability to identify and mitigate risks and dependencies effectively. Familiarity with resource planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Preferred Skills: Background in the data and analytics space, with experience in consulting being a strong plus. Experience in conducting PI planning and facilitating cross-team collaboration. Knowledge of compliance standards and Agile frameworks. Ability to drive process improvement and adoption of best practices within the team. Additional Information: This is a hybrid role , with a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration (the role requires 2/3 days at the office per week) The opportunity is within the retail industry , offering exposure to innovative and impactful projects in the sector.
