Implementing our very own twist on the most iconic cocktails you’d only find in the best hotel bars around the world.The Gig Responsibilities Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be assisting with the growth of our food offering, menu and workflow design. It goes without saying that our food will be paramount, but not like that all too-slick, corporate blah blah experience happening elsewhere in your traditional restaurant. We have a bit of personality, a bit of freshness, interesting and quirky, we shine and are always changing. This is a Full-Time role and will require flexibility within your availability. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section Leading by example as a hands-on chef with excellent quality assurance and standards Assisting in the development through innovative and original menu planning and maintenance of high food standards Establishing and maintaining effective employee working relationships at all times Bringing your on-trend ideas, new dishes, new concepts and new menus to make our food offering the best in the area Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times Ensuring all stocks are kept under optimum conditions Ensuring all mis-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time Ensuring all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity Ensuring the department is operated within the appropriate legislation and the appropriate records are maintained up-to-date Meeting personal grooming and appearance standards regarding cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene Actively sharing ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings Ensuring storeroom requisitions are accurate About You At Ovolo, we are all about YOU.
