The company: Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia and specialises in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres. We operate a network of freight terminals with significant cold room facilities across the east coast of Australia and employ a staff of approximately 2000 workers. The Opportunity: Lindsay Transport is currently seeking a Depot Planner for our Sydney Depot. The primary purpose of this position is liaising with the National Transport Office, Operations staff and Admin staff. Roster is Monday to Friday 8am. The primary duties of the role will include: Manifesting consignments Planning and supporting operations The facilitation and management of customer orders and jobs received. Liaising with operational staff to ensure all customer requirements are met. Managing freight bookings and time slot requests Debriefing driver paperwork Organising transport and planning for CoR compliance Co-ordination of linehaul freight and deliveries Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements Equipment and resource planning Enforcing businesses process and rules Monitoring compliance with Fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace Assisting with depot pallet control Ad hoc administrative duties as directed by the Administration and Depot Manager Ensuring that all transport documents are correctly completed, filed, and utilised in compliance with any and all regulatory standards for the transportation industry. About You: To be successful for this role applicants must have: Prior transport planning administration experience Computer literate Be able to prioritise high volume of work and work in a fast-paced environment. Have excellent time management skills. Have exceptional planning and organisational skills. Have a positive attitude with the willingness to learn. Be a team player. Have a genuine care factor for the needs of the internal and external customer.
