Lumus Imaging at Northern Private Hospital offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional services, including General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mobile Imaging, Theatre Imaging, Cath Lab procedures, Vascular procedures, and other interventional procedures. This brand-new hospital and imaging department, which opened in February 2024, features state-of-the-art equipment and a modern, clean, and environmentally friendly working environment. The imaging department currently focuses on outpatient appointment bookings, with a growing number of inpatient exams and interventional procedures anticipated as the hospital expands its patient load and the consulting suites reach full tenancy in the coming months. About the Role: An exciting opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our Radiology Department as a Deputy Chief Radiographer. In collaboration with the Chief Radiographer, the Deputy Chief Radiographer plays a pivotal role in managing the department’s daily operations and supporting the radiographer team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and efficient imaging service. The successful candidate will take on shared responsibilities, including task rotation for administrative duties such as overseeing quality control and workplace health and safety, addressing issues, problem-solving, and collaborating with our experienced team to enhance patient care. The Deputy Chief Radiographer will primarily perform clinical duties as part of the standard radiographer roster, requiring extensive experience in X-ray and CT. Administrative tasks will be performed during clinical shifts or with appropriately rostered administrative time as needed. Previous management or supervisory experience is highly desirable, as is experience in MRI. Role requirements: Comprehensive clinical experience as a radiographer, with previous leadership and MRI experience an advantage. Excellent communication and people skills, and high level of emotional intelligence. A great attitude with a strong desire to learn and improve. Very high standards of patient care and customer service delivery with a proactive approach to improving quality and services. A good understanding of patient, staff, radiation and workplace safety practices. University or equivalent qualifications in Medical Imaging Technology. Current AHPRA Registration and Vic radiation license. Driver’s license.
