The Occupational Therapy Service includes over 90 team members consisting of occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, carpenters, and administration officers. We work across acute, sub-acute, and community settings, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in Tasmania. As a Deputy Manager - Occupational Therapy, you will work closely with the Discipline Lead and leadership team to support the Occupational Therapy Service in delivering high-quality, evidence-based services, in alignment with the Department of Health CARE Values and strategic priorities. You will be responsible for the management and development of staff working within the Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Team, across sub-acute and community sites. You will need: Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist in Rehabilitation, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, and/or Transition Care Programs. A proven ability to lead, engage others, and drive change. A passion for staff well-being and development. Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible, for a period of 12 months. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. $135,002 to $138,296 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. In addition, the following allowance is available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum. Benefits available to eligible candidates: A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
