In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the Deputy Principal – Curriculum provides educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision, and encouraging school staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the school’s vision and goals. Using effective change management strategies, they will lead the school community to accept and develop opportunities for improved service within the school. The Deputy Principal role will have responsibility for coordination of Curriculum across the school. The successful applicant should display an ability to operate within a highly dynamic environment and have excellent knowledge and understanding of the role of supporting curriculum implementation and delivery. Relational approaches will underpin their work in effective support to teaching staff. They will be leading a team of teachers and education assistants maintaining relationships built on mutual respect, trust, and interdependence. An understanding of Curriculum, Trauma Sensitive Practice, and full-service schools is highly desirable.
