Deputy Principal - Head of Secondary at Emmanuel Christian School Emmanuel Christian School is a co-educational, independent Kindergarten – Year 10 Christian school located in Rokeby, with a current enrolment of 275+ students. (1 Corinthians 13:13) About this position Deputy Principal - Head of Secondary at Emmanuel Christian SchoolThis is a full time, 1.0 FTE position with an expectation to teach in his/her discipline with a teaching load of approximately 0.2 FTE. The Head of Secondary supports the Principal in establishing the desired organisational learning environment. The effective administration of the school creates the necessary frameworks and a sense of order within which all programs at Emmanuel Christian School flourish. About you The Deputy Principal - Head of Secondary will: Be a committed Christian, who is active in a Christian church and expresses their faith through their lifestyle; Work collaboratively as members of a Christian community and in accordance with Christian Schools Tasmania’s Code of Christian Conduct; Promote teaching and learning as the core business of the School, facilitating and fostering a climate of learning for staff and students. Facilitate the development and growth of a high-performance culture of continuous improvement. Implement measures to achieve best practice in relation to the learning and teaching processes, as well as high quality models of assessment and reporting. Support the Principal in the implementation and monitoring quality assurance processes in teaching and learning, staff professional learning, and pastoral care. Support the Principal in ensuring that data relating to students, curriculum and quality processes is accurate and robust. Manage reporting processes and the Learning Management system for Secondary. Oversee the secondary curriculum leadership. Play an active role in the development and implementation of School strategies and objectives, ensuring that there is understanding, engagement and participation at all staff levels. Engage with the wider School community and participate in events as a senior representative of Emmanuel Christian School. Encourage and maintain a climate of quality and excellence within the School. Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Respond strategically and proactively to the changing education sector, lead innovation collaboratively and model a positive approach to change. Connect the day-to-day administration of the Secondary School to the goals in the School Strategic Plan.
