Job Description

Based in Brisbane, Australia with operations at all major airports in Australia including Adelaide, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, we are seeking someone willing to travel and engage with our frontline operations. About the Role: Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager (QASM), you will work closely with the Quality and Safety team, International and Domestic regulators, Clients, Station Maintenance Managers, and Engineers in ensuring the quality management systems correspond with the company’s business model and objectives. Key Responsibilities include: Day-to-day QA and Safety functions to support the operations Champion Compliance and Safety initiatives / culture across the business Incident and accident investigations Internal audits QA representative for external audits with customers and regulators Support the company audit program across all ports Create or amend QA and supporting manuals as requested by the QASM Management and coordination of Company Maintenance Authorisations Monitoring and reporting on compliance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Regulations Some travel to our various stations To be successful you will have: Demonstrated experience working in an Aviation Quality and Safety role in line maintenance Sound knowledge and comprehension of CASA Part 145 and Part 66 regulations Ability to interpret regulations and rules and apply them without bias Experience in implementing or maintaining quality management systems A very strong attention to detail and exceptional time management A good understanding of Risk Management A demonstrated ability to juggle the demands of multiple projects, with competing priorities and deliver outcomes accordingly Ability to work autonomously to achieve set outcomes Ability to work well within a small team Ability to be assertive when required whilst maintaining a positive relationship An intermediate proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Word The following Qualifications, skills and experience will be considered as an advantage: Lead Auditor SMS course Experience working in a Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance organisation, preferably in a leadership role Cert IV in WHS and/or Training and Assessment and related training experience Sound knowledge of maintenance requirements of large passenger aircraft Demonstrated knowledge of Change Management principles Heston MRO is an equal opportunity employer.
