Join Foxtel Group’s Balboa – our in-house creative agency behind Kayo Sports, Foxtel, BINGE, Hubbl, and Fox Sports, crafting bold, precise, and boundary-pushing work to connect and resonate with audiences through creative that’s built by fans, for fans.As a Design Director at Balboa, you’ll play an instrumental role in the Design Team, driving bold and impactful work. You’ll be hands-on while also guiding the team - contributing directly to the work while shaping ideas from designers, writers, and client managers. Your focus is on pushing projects forward, ensuring the strongest ideas come to life. You’ll be working on brand creation, rebrands, and large campaigns along with regular digital and physical design challenges. You’ll inspire both clients and teams to think boldly and take creative risks. What We’re Looking For A talented graphic designer – Strong aesthetic judgment with the ability to craft and elevate exceptional creative work. A true entertainment enthusiast – We live and breathe film, TV, and sport because it's at the heart of what we do. Passion for the industry drives our best work, and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion. A natural leader – Capable of providing constructive feedback, mentoring designers, and fostering collaboration. A passion for the minutiae of design craft – a sharp eye that can instantly spot what’s off in a design. Motion-aware – You understand how brand systems flex in motion and appreciate the impact of motion design in branding (even if you're not a motion designer). Comfortable in fast-paced environments – Adaptable and efficient. Industry-savvy – Well-versed in global design trends and anti-trends, with strong knowledge of leading designers, agencies, and motion studios. Skills and Experience Required Strong portfolio – Demonstrating diverse, strategic, and high-impact work. Highly Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and proficient in Figma. Ability to work on both branding projects and bringing campaigns to life working with Art Directors and CDs. Strong writing skills – Able to craft clear, compelling decks with well-articulated design rationales. Ability to give clear, constructive feedback in a supportive environment that fosters growth and creativity. Excellent communication skills – Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively, both internally and externally.
