Step into a key leadership role as a Design Manager - Wastewater and play a pivotal part in delivering multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects. Use your expertise in civil or mechanical engineering to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and align with project goals. Lead technical teams, engage stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions in this exciting role.About The Role As the Design Manager, you will act as the primary engineering representative, overseeing technical teams to deliver timely, cost-effective, and accurate designs for wastewater projects.Location: Adelaide CBDContract: Casual Full-Time, 6 Months (ASAP Start)Hourly Rate: $70 - $80 per hour (negotiable based on experience)Key Responsibilities: Champion health and safety compliance, including adherence to Safety in Design standards. Plan and deliver effective design solutions, ensuring milestones, costs, and project deadlines are met. Oversee design quality, ensuring alignment with technical standards and review mechanisms. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress and changes. Inspire and lead multidisciplinary technical teams, fostering a culture of high performance. Drive the adoption of new technologies and continuously improve design processes and documentation. About You Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (essential). Postgraduate qualifications in Project or Business Management (desirable). Extensive experience in managing designs for water infrastructure projects, including wastewater systems. Skills and Attributes: Strong leadership presence, inspiring team collaboration and high performance. Proven ability to develop and execute effective design delivery strategies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. Innovative mindset, identifying solutions to improve efficiency and project outcomes. Experience in technical writing and auditing of reports/designs.
