Join icon fashion house Aje as a Designer at our Aje Head Office in Redfern. About this opportunity: Working closely with the Designers and Design Room Manager in the implementation and development of their designs to the quality standard of Aje. Accurately interpret designers' fashion illustrations to CADs Maintaining and streamlining details and finishes in alignment with the Aje handwriting. Creating and managing Tech Packs and CADs for all factory and Bali styles, ensuring all information is correctly updated throughout development and for final production handover. Creating CADs and Tech Packs to the Aje standard. Creating detailed SPECS for technical developments including print placement, pleating, etc. Actively involved in the handover of styles to the garment tech team for initial specs. Completing initial specs for repeat styles with detailed measurements and construction information. Checking, photographing, and altering all SMS before ranging to ensure they are of the quality and standard of Aje before presenting them to the wider business. Actively involved in proto fittings from suppliers and ensuring all updates and changes are communicated to the team and suppliers. Following development for fabric and trims through to production for each season. Managing and maintaining fabric and trim library. Assisting Product Developer with seasonal production handover. Updating and managing seasonal development boards. Developing strong relationships with our Bali team and offshore suppliers. You will bring 3 years of previous experience in a similar role, preferably at an equivalent type of designer brand. Experience working in a design team with proven responsibilities and technical skills. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Impeccable follow-up, attention to detail, and organisation skills. Highly Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Experience and extensive understanding of creating CADs, SPECS and Tech Packs Strong technical knowledge of garment construction.
