About the Role We are looking for an Adelaide based Engineering Team Lead who is passionate about building and leading high-performing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of our roadmap objectives . This role is about leadership—not just technical expertise. While you’ll need a solid understanding of software development, your primary focus will be on team performance, stakeholder collaboration, and execution . You’ll drive planning, structure work into sprints, and keep the team aligned with business goals, ensuring the Air Maestro platform evolves to meet the needs of our customers. Key Responsibilities Building and maintaining a high-performing team through coaching, mentorship, and leadership. Ensuring roadmap delivery by working with stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute development efforts. Championing best practices in agile delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Creating a culture of accountability and innovation, where developers thrive and deliver impactful work. Lead and support a cross-functional development team, fostering collaboration and high performance. Own the roadmap delivery , working with stakeholders to define, prioritise, and schedule work. Structure development efforts into clear and achievable sprints, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Remove roadblocks, optimise processes, and drive execution to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. Advocate for continuous team and process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Foster a positive and growth-oriented team culture, mentoring team members to help them succeed. Keep the team focused, motivated, and aligned with business priorities. What You’ll Need Proven Leadership: 3+ years leading development teams, with a focus on team performance and delivery . Delivery Mindset: Experience driving project execution and ensuring teams meet objectives. Technical Understanding: Strong grasp of software development concepts and experience with cloud-based environments (AWS preferred). While hands-on coding isn’t required, you should be comfortable guiding technical discussions . Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, translate priorities into action, and align teams. Agile Expertise: Experience working in an agile environment, structuring work into sprints, and refining delivery processes. Team Builder: A passion for coaching, developing, and empowering software engineers to do their best work.
