Devops Software Engineer

Join our Banking and Financial Services Technology division and work within the Engineering Enablers Environments and Quality Engineering team as a DevOps Engineer. You will work closely with our product engineering teams to educate and uplift their capabilities to drive higher levels of quality in development. Working closely with software engineers, you will demonstrate best practices around reliability coding patterns, practices, and tooling. This role will require hands-on experience in DevOps and Software Engineering at an enterprise level and know how to implement it with best practice. You will be an accomplished DevOps practitioner comfortable operating in a technological landscape of legacy and emerging technologies. This role is a mixture of analysis, hands on and mentoring working closely with developer teams to uplift capabilities. You will be able to utilise your strong DevOps background and experience to support extremely critical, high-performance applications. What you offer Essential to have working knowledge of Java; other programming languages such as Go is an advantage Working knowledge of open-source technologies, and cloud services (Google Cloud is highly desirable) Hands on experience in implementing DevOps toolchains in SDLC Usage of Kubernetes, Docker and CICD tools Understanding of microservices. Understanding of NoSQL, SQL, and Streaming platforms.
