Job Description for DevOps Expert Required Information: Role: DevOps Expert Required Technical Skill Set: Automation, CI/CD, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Scripting, Cloud, Python Script, BASH Script, Unix/Linux Number of Requirements: 2 Desired Experience Range: 6-12 years Location: Sydney IOU-Detail: BFSI USWest 1.1 Desired Competencies: Must-Have: Automation, CI/CD, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Scripting, Cloud, Python Script, BASH Script, Unix/Linux, Maven, Artifactory Good-to-Have: Java, Go, Perl, or Ruby Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role: Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation based on Chef. Proven experience writing Chef recipes/cookbooks and designing an overall Chef-based release and deployment process is required. Engineer with experience in industry standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef. Experience designing and implementing an effective CI/CD flow is required. Hands-on experience with BASH scripting, Python scripting, and working knowledge in Linux/Unix environments. Experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is preferred. Support deployments of code into multiple lower environments with an emphasis on automating processes. Design and implement a Git-based code management strategy supporting multiple environment deployments in parallel. Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
