This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, resident-focused environment while leading a dynamic team dedicated to exceptional care. Reporting to the General Manager of Allied Health Residential Services you will lead and support the Dietetics and Speech Pathology Department with the delivery of an integrated and high-quality service. The role is varied and expansive and will suit a qualified Speech Pathologist with extensive clinical and supervisory experience. About the Role As the Dietetics & Speech Pathology Department Manager, you will: Oversee the operations of the Dietetics and Speech Pathology team, ensuring top-tier service delivery. Provide expert opinion on assessment and treatment for residents with speech, language, swallowing, and communication needs. Support the Dietitians alongside the Senior Dietitian to optimising the nutritional status of consumers. Mentor, supervise and support a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and growth. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain high clinical standards. To be successful in this role you will have vast experience in the following areas: Management and leadership capabilities. Supervision and mentoring. Strategic planning and project implementation. Compliance, documentation and reporting. Training and development. In addition to the above, our preferred candidate will: Degree in Speech Pathology and relevant professional registration. Demonstrate experience managing a team of allied health professionals. Have a minimum of five years’ experience working in their discipline with an additional three years in a supervisory role including staff, financial and change management. Have effective written and verbal communication skills along with well-developed time management and organisational abilities. Demonstrate prior knowledge and experience working in a health or aged care setting and knowledge in supporting consumers with dementia or cognitive decline. Demonstrate advanced reasoning skills to support staff role development, clinical innovation and the provision of evidence-based practices. A passion for improving the quality of life for residents in aged care.
