Are you passionate about public sector education in Queensland and skilled in digital communications? The Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU) is seeking a dynamic Digital Communications Officer to enhance our online presence and engage with our members across Queensland. The Role As our Digital Communications Officer, you’ll be a key member of our Communications Team, focusing on engaging and monitoring the QTU’s digital platforms, particularly our social media channels. You’ll work closely with the Communications Coordinator to ensure our message resonates across all digital mediums. Key Responsibilities Manage and engage with QTU social media channels. Monitor social media for stakeholder engagement and consistent branding. Identify opportunities to increase member engagement. Analyse social media performance and provide strategic insights. Assist with web content management, SEO, and security as required. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Strong understanding of social media channels. Excellent written communication skills. Experience in engaging and monitoring social media in a fast-paced environment. Professional judgement in a changing, reactive environment. A relevant tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, or journalism is preferred but not essential.
