The Role - Digital Engineering Delivery Manager Position Summary The Digital Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the digital engineering strategy, implementation, and execution across large-scale infrastructure projects (supported by the Senior Delivery Lead). This role ensures that digital workflows, data management, and technology adoption align with project objectives, industry standards, and client requirements. The Delivery Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive innovation in digital project delivery, and enhance efficiency and quality through integrated digital solutions. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Digital Strategy Develop and implement a digital engineering management plan (DEMP) tailored to project requirements. Oversee the development and integration of other management plans, such as the BIM Execution & Management Plan, Asset Information Requirements (AIR), and Geospatial Management Plans. Define and oversee digital engineering standards, workflows, and best practices. Ensure alignment with industry frameworks such as ISO 19650, BIM standards, and digital twin methodologies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate digital engineering into broader project objectives. Project Execution & Delivery Lead the development, coordination, and execution of digital engineering activities across the project lifecycle. Oversee modelling, simulation, data federation, and analysis to improve project performance. Manage digital data environments (CDEs), ensuring accessibility, security, and version control. Ensure compliance with client requirements, contracts, and industry regulations. Technology & Innovation Identify, evaluate, and implement new digital tools (including implementation of Salix software solutions) and workflows to enhance project efficiency. Drive the adoption of automation, AI-driven analytics, and parametric modelling to optimize design and construction. Promote interoperability between various software platforms and data systems. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between design, engineering, construction, and asset management teams. Provide training, mentoring, and support to project teams on digital engineering practices. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies to align digital engineering initiatives. Lead coordination meetings and digital engineering reviews with internal and external stakeholders. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with government regulations, industry standards, and client requirements. Manage project data security, access controls, and governance to mitigate risks. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track digital engineering effectiveness. Support risk assessments related to digital processes, ensuring quality and accuracy. Key Capabilities & Experience Technical Expertise Strong understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Common Data Environments (CDEs). Experience with Autodesk, Bentley, and other digital engineering software suites. Knowledge of data management, interoperability, and digital twin development. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Dynamo, Python, SQL) is not required but an advantage. Demonstrated experience managing large infrastructure projects (e.g., transport, utilities, energy). Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Ability to drive cultural change and digital adoption within multidisciplinary teams. Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and project governance. Eligibility Requirements Candidates must be Australian citizens or hold a valid visa that allows them to work in Australia. * hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the office with our customers and often more during start-up phases to get to know the teams. ** you will often be working in blended project teams with our customers where you may be required to report day to day for our customer's team (or vice versa).
