About the Opportunity This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The role will report into the Head of Digital Tools – Governance & Support, the Digital Tools Governance & Support Project Manager will project manage governance oversight tasks to ensure the effective delivery of Digital Tools projects and support in-depth Digital Tools project activities. The role will also assist the Head of, in successful change management for governance activities and will support the broader Transfer of Technology (ToT) & Innovation group objectives including knowledge transfer and continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities Be accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of the planning, execution and close out phases in accordance with approved project management processes Collaborate/manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal program outcomes Drive continuous improvement Develop and mentor Project Team Effectively manage the risks associated with the delivery of projects in a complex environment Running team meetings, structured in alignment to Department set, to manage schedule, cost and quality, risk and opportunity, and dependencies, including resourcing Implementing organisational policies and procedures and addressing issues within their team Implementing improvement changes and raising cross-team issues Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis. About you Tertiary degree in a technical discipline relevant to the management of complex technical projects or relevant equivalent experience A minimum of five years’ experience in a complex project environment as a Project Manager (or equivalent) A good understanding of the product lifecycle, configuration management, product safety, seaworthiness and engineering governance and assurance Formal qualifications in System Engineering or equivalent training Excellent knowledge of project delivery best practices including scheduling, earned value management, risk management, quality management, stakeholder and personnel management as applicable to a complex project environment Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and deliver desired business outcomes Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
