Digital Production Officers and Digital Service Designer (APS4), Digital Services Branch Salary: $72,973 - $82,080 (plus 15.4% superannuation and allowances) Location: Canberra and Adelaide Permanent positions; full-time or part-time (flexible working arrangements) The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill several vacancies of Digital Production Officers and Digital Service Designer (APS4) in various teams across the branch that support the dissemination of data through various Digital Services. These statistics are used by both governments and the private sector for a range of policy formulation and planning. About the roles 1. Digital Production Officer (Canberra, Adelaide or Melbourne) Responsibilities depending on the role may include: Support dissemination systems such as the ABS website, Internal Publishing Environment and Microdata Platform Delivery of early access events (lockups, pre-release and peer review) Content advice on readability and accessibility Content author and approver support Managing embargo Performance reporting Partnering with ABS business 2. Digital Service Designer (Canberra) Responsibilities depending on the role may include: Support dissemination systems such as the ABS website and Internal Publishing Environment Support system maintenance, testing and the delivery system improvements and upgrades Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and support their work Understand and capture user needs and document requirements for system improvements Work collaboratively in an Agile, multi-disciplinary team What we are looking for (selection criteria) To be suitable you must have strong skills or experience in: Prioritisation and time management Written and verbal communication Working collaboratively in a team Additionally, you should have relevant skills or experience for the specific role(s) you are interested in: Digital Production Officer - Customer Support: Client engagement skills, working in a high performance and fast paced environment, experience in publishing a website, using publishing systems, providing content advice, managing embargo. Digital Service Designer - Dissemination Systems Support and Modernisation: Managing or supporting digital products or websites – understanding user needs, documenting requirements, and overseeing improvements.
