Director - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (Identified) Would you like to join the Metro North Health team and contribute towards achieving health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? Permanent full-time opportunity to lead the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team in strategic and operational planning improvement initiatives across the Redcliffe directorate. Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. About the role Lead the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team in strategic and operational planning improvement initiatives across the Redcliffe directorate as they relate to Metro North Health strategies and state and national plans related to improving health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values: Provide strategic advice to the Executive, Service Group Directors, and other senior practitioners regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health service planning and workforce management strategies. Provide leadership and strategic direction to direct reports. Lead and manage change, integrating key objectives of strategic plans into service delivery. Drive the development of designated service improvement portfolios across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services. Lead implementation of the Health Equity Strategy and Actions for Redcliffe Hospital in collaboration with Executive leadership and staff. Health Equity All Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role, contribute to the health equity agenda and support the defined six actions that meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
