Permanent opportunity to join Westpac’s GTS Team! Manage and maintain a senior portfolio of key Institutional and Corporate clients Canberra-based permanent role How will I help? You will join Westpac’s Global Transaction Services (GTS) team as a Client Development Manager dedicated to managing and maintaining a senior portfolio of key Institutional and Corporate clients in our Public Sector team. You will be responsible for partnering with and managing a diverse portfolio of Public Sector clients operating across various areas of focus for the Commonwealth Government of Australia. Tasked with driving revenue growth via cross-sell and maximizing deposits through consistent sales activity and pipeline management. You will be confident in identifying new opportunities for our clients and will demonstrate value-add services by designing and delivering innovative client-focused solutions and compelling presentations to improve operational and financial efficiency. You will also: Manage the sales process for new and existing opportunities Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Client’s strategy to identify opportunities for strategic alignment with the GTS technology and product investment road map Participate in deal teams led by the existing client BDMs where clients choose to run a tender process at the end of their contract term What’s in it for me? With a team of 4 colleagues who specialise in supporting our Public Sector clients in Canberra, you’ll collaborate in person in our Northbourne Avenue office in the ACT to regroup and connect with dedicated sales managers, clients, and sales representatives. What do I need? You will be a seasoned Client Development Manager, Relationship Manager, or established transactional banker who has experience managing and meeting the needs of our clients and is confident in developing long-term strategic sales plans to retain relationships. You will be able to analyse the existing strategy of your client to identify conversation points and product opportunities. Some further advantageous skills: Exceptional skills in negotiation and relationship management Advanced abilities in presentation, pitch creation, and solution mapping Familiarity with strict sales disciplines such as pipeline management, call reports, and sales plans Strong awareness of industry and economic trends & a keen interest and acumen in current events Transactional banking experience, ideally in sales, is highly advantageous What’s it like to work there?
