The opportunity We are excited to be inviting applications for the Director Commercial Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms to become the state's trusted partner for digital enablement. This is a senior leadership role that will be critical to leading through the implementation of our new value-based operating model while ensuring outcomes continue to be delivered to a high standard. Reporting to the Director Value & Portfolio Management, this role leads the strategic and operational commercial functions for digital platforms and programs including procurement, vendor and contract management, budget planning, pricing and cost recovery, ensuring value for money and delivery of efficient services to enable the achievement of wider NSW Government objectives. This role is critical in ensuring consistency, continuous improvement and effective delivery of strategic initiatives that support organisational wide objectives. What you will bring to this role Demonstrated experience in building mutually beneficial commercial relationships across a complex landscape that maximise shared value for stakeholders and government Demonstrated understanding of government administration with experience in procurement policy and financial management Demonstrated experience and proven expertise in working collaboratively and negotiating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Experience in leading and developing specialist teams in an agile digital environment Extensive experience in driving value and continuous operational excellence across a range of contracts and services in a digital environment Proven effectiveness in end-to-end ICT procurement and contract management Experience in leading business case development and financial modelling Demonstrated experience in financial operations that includes effective funding and budget management Experience in driving financial accountability and maturing organisation compliance Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be beneficial.
