Key focus areas of the position Reporting to the G&CD business unit General Manager, the Director Grants Development and Stewardship significantly contributes to the leadership and development of community-led, place-based and strategic grant making.This position is a member of the G&CD Leadership Group and works collaboratively across the organisation as part of Lotterywest’s Leadership team to achieve agreed business and strategic outcomes. The role has the following key areas of focus: Stakeholder management, engagement, collaboration and partnership development Targeted and strategic grant initiatives and specialised programs Community-based grant-making informed by social impact data, analysis and research Leadership and management Mandatory / special role requirements Police Clearance Ability to undertake metropolitan, regional and interstate travel Ability to undertake occasional after-hours work Selection Criteria Extensive experience in leading cohesive and high performing teams in a similar operating grant making, investment, and community development environment. Extensive experience in managing complex partnerships and multiple stakeholders to achieve tangible outcomes for community-based grant making. Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and First Nations people and organisations. High level experience in leading the conceptual development and delivery of strategic projects and grant initiatives. High level experience in leading and contributing to the application of community development principles, social impact data, analysis and research into policy and practice. Substantial experience in communicating effectively in a variety of contexts, including with community, government, governing boards (or equivalent) and across internal and other external stakeholders. Required Qualification Tertiary qualification in Community Development or a relevant field and/or 7 years experience. Want to know more?
