We are seeking expressions of interest for the Director of Indigenous Development. Flexible location across metro and regional New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and ACT. The opportunity The Director Indigenous Development supports Benevolent's strategic goal of becoming a trusted and effective ally with Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities, to pursue and promote the strategic goals of equality, equity, and improving life outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reporting to the Executive Director, Future Directions and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Director Indigenous Development will: Lead the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategy, aligning it with organisational goals. Build and elevate partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and stakeholders. Embed cultural objectives across the organisation, ensuring integration into all functions. Strengthen internal and external relationships, driving impactful outcomes and collaboration. About you The ideal candidate for this role will possess: Proven experience in strategic leadership within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts. Strong relationship-building skills with communities, stakeholders, and partners. Expertise in advocacy and policy, with a focus on driving meaningful outcomes. Ability to integrate cultural objectives into organisational strategy and operations. Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander governance and navigating mainstream/Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander intersections.
