The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for a Director Member Support , to join the User Experience and Member Support team for a full time ongoing role. This position can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney. Remuneration: The annual salary for the position is EL2 $135,732- $154,312 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%. Reporting to the Executive Director, User Experience and Member Support, the Director - Member Support is responsible for leading a large, geographically dispersed team who provides a range of administrative support to Tribunal members in the management of applications for review (cases). This includes case file management, liaising with parties and responding to enquiries, providing hearings assistance where required, and preparing review-related documents. The section also provides some proofreading and non-legal research services to members and prepares Tribunal decisions for publication on the internet in accordance with relevant Tribunal policies. Please note that there may be a requirement for some interstate travel with this role. This role is responsible for: Innovation and Change: Identify innovative solutions and lead the implementation of new or changed ways of working fostering a culture of embracing change and continuous improvement. Leadership and Management: Manage geographically dispersed teams. Develop, coach and mentor staff, manage performance and identify training needs. Service Delivery: Lead the delivery of member support functions, ensuring consistent, accessible, timely and high-quality services to external and internal users. Strategic and Operational Advice: Provide high-level strategic advice to senior management, and day-to-day operational advice and guidance to colleagues on member support matters. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About you: To be successful you will have: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, cultivate a culture of collaboration, and model standards of behaviour consistent with APS Values, APS Employment Principles and APS Code of Conduct. Demonstrated ability to manage and implement change, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote a positive approach to dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity. Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly, make persuasive recommendations, and adapt to the needs of different audiences. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, exercise judgement, and ensure alignment of section activities with organisational priorities. Proven capacity to deliver results, successfully lead or deliver complex projects, develop creative solutions, and manage risks appropriately. An in-depth understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire an in-depth understanding, of the Tribunal’s legislative and policy context, particularly in relation to the delivery of administrative support services to diverse users. Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, work collaboratively to achieve outcomes, and negotiate successfully.
